Overview

The Pricing Insights dashboard in Seller Center provides important account-level pricing metrics and item-level insights to help you identify opportunities, update pricing and enroll items in Repricer. In this guide, you’ll learn how to use the Pricing Insights dashboard effectively.

How does it work?

The Pricing Insights dashboard features Item Insights that provides key account-level metrics and detailed information at the item level and your Historical Price Performance that displays your catalog's pricing insights over time.

Your account-level metrics are summarized below:

Field

Definition

Price competitiveness

  • The price competitiveness score measures how your original price, set by you, compares to similar available products on external websites. The score is calculated based on your original price, without Walmart-funded incentives, to reflect your true price competitiveness. An offer is considered competitive if it's listed at the same price or at a lower price than the comparable external price.

  • Your price competitiveness score also represents the percentage of customer impressions where your offers are price competitive. This means items with higher traffic have a greater impact on your score, while items with little or no traffic have less or no impact. A higher percentage means your offers are more competitive.

  • If your price competitiveness score displays N/A, it means there’s not enough information to determine the score.

Buy Box win rate

Measures the overall percentage of page views where your offers are winning the Buy Box. For example, a 60% Buy Box win rate would indicate that you’re the Buy Box winner for 60% of all page views that your items received over the last seven days.

Repricer opportunities

Displays the number of items in Repricer strategies that need your attention as repricing has been paused and require seller input/action.

Incentives eligible

Displays the number of items that are eligible for price incentives.

Pricing rules violation

Displays the number of items that are either suppressed or unpublished as they violate pricing rules and standards.

Additional guidelines

A non-exhaustive list of your item-level metrics are summarized below. Use the item-level metrics to address specific items with low price competitiveness scores or Buy Box win rates. You can also directly enroll items in pricing tools such as Repricer or take action on items that violate pricing rules. Any price adjustments made from this dashboard will only update if there are no promotions, pricing incentives or repricing strategies in place.

Current price

The price you're currently charging for this item. Update prices in this field by selecting the item and entering a new price in the popup, or by selecting the Bulk update button and uploading a template.

Suggested price

The Walmart suggested price, which is designed to help you maximize your price competitiveness. You can update your price from this field by selecting the suggested price. Reduced Referral Fee incentives may be applied to select items when you accept the suggested price.

Buy Box price

The item price of the listing for an item when the report was generated. An alert icon indicates that your offer isn’t winning the Buy Box. Check to see if the price on your offer is lower than the Buy Box price.

Buy Box win rate

The percentage of page views where your offer won the Buy Box over the past seven days. For example, a 60% win rate means your offer was winning the Buy Box for 60% of the time.

Competitive price

The price of the item on another e-commerce site. If no comparable item is found or there's a mismatch, select Submit a Match and follow the next steps. An alert icon indicates that your price is higher than the competitive price.

Repricer status

The last recorded status for items assigned to a strategy:

  • Active indicates that the item is being actively repriced.

  • Needs Action indicates that while the item has been onboarded to the Repricer, it’s not being repriced due to the target price being lower than your minimum allowed price, a competitive target price wasn’t found on your item or because your item is on promotion, and you've elected to not reprice your items.

  • Paused indicates that the item is onboarded on a strategy that has been paused.

  • Enroll in Repricer indicates items that aren’t yet onboarded to the Repricer. Select this to enroll items and create or select a strategy.
