Overview

In this guide, you’ll learn how to make updates to your tax ID, Employer Identification Number (EIN), legal business name or business address, if needed. You can only make these updates if you have an admin access to Seller Center.

Update your information

Step 1 – Get started

Navigate to the Business Information page in Seller Center and review each field for accuracy.

Step 2 – Update info

To add details or make changes, select the Edit Business details link or the Edit market details link for your market and fill out the required fields, including your legal business name, address and tax ID.

Notes:

You can’t edit your business information if you submitted changes recently and they’re still under review. You can’t proceed with your updates until you provide the required documentation. Failure to provide the correct information may delay your request.

Step 3 – Submit and review

Some updates require you to provide additional details, including a reason for the change and supporting documentation. Once you’ve provided these details, select the Submit changes button. Walmart reviews all business information changes and may require detailed review in accordance with our verification and compliance procedures.

During the review process, you’ll get a message that we’re still reviewing a previous update. You can’t update your business information until the review is complete. If your submission was approved, the submitted changes are effective immediately and you don’t have to take any further action.
